Black Hawk Down (2001)

Directed by Ridley Scott and released in 2001, “Black Hawk Down” is a war film based on the true events of the Battle of Mogadishu in 1993. Adapted from Mark Bowden’s book of the same name, the film chronicles a mission by U.S. Special Forces to capture a Somali warlord that quickly escalates into a prolonged and intense firefight in the heart of Mogadishu.
