The Crow (1994) – teaser traier

The Crow (1994) is a dark fantasy action film directed by Alex Proyas, based on the comic book of the same name by James O’Barr. The film has gained a cult following for its gothic atmosphere, memorable soundtrack, and tragic backstory.

The story follows Eric Draven, played by Brandon Lee, a rock musician who is brutally murdered along with his fiancée, Shelly, by a gang of criminals in the decaying, crime-ridden city they live in. One year after their deaths, Eric is resurrected by a mysterious crow, which grants him supernatural abilities and guides him on a mission of vengeance. Now nearly invincible, Eric methodically hunts down the gang members responsible for the murders, confronting them in a series of intense and stylized confrontations.

The Crow is notable for its haunting visual style, blending gothic and urban decay aesthetics, and its exploration of themes like love, loss, revenge, and redemption. The film’s atmosphere is enhanced by its moody cinematography and an iconic soundtrack featuring bands like The Cure and Nine Inch Nails.
The movie is also known for the tragic death of Brandon Lee, who was accidentally killed on set during filming. Despite this, his performance as Eric Draven became iconic, and the film was completed and released as a tribute to him.
